    A Birth Certificate
    In order for child to be admitted into Saint Genevieve School, a birth certificate must be submitted for proof of age in order for admission.

    Age Requirements
    The Pre-K 3 year old child must turn three on or before October 1st of the current school year. The Pre-K 4 year old child must turn four on or before October 1st of the current school year.

    Kindergarten & 1st Grade
    The Kindergarten child must turn five on or before October 1st of the current school year. The First Grade child must turn six on or before October 1st of the current school year. ​

    Potty Training
    The Pre-Kindergarten requires that all children be completely toilet trained. If there is a problem, the parent will be contacted and asked to remove the child from the program until trained. The child’s place will not necessarily be held.

    Students requesting to be enrolled in grades one through eight will be interviewed along with their parent/guardian prior to being accepted before a decision to accept is made. A probationary period of forty-five (45) days will be given to any student who transfers into St. Genevieve’s School

    Baptismal Certificate
    A Baptismal Certificate and verification of reception of any additional sacrament(s) are required, where applicable.

2019-2020 Registration Fee/Deposit
There is a NON-REFUNDABLE registration Fee that is to be paid when registering your child/children. THE REGISTRATION FEE WILL NOT BE APPLIED TO TUITION. Families with one child will pay $150. Families with multiple children will pay a $225 registration fee for the family. One month's tuition per child is due upon notice of acceptance for families entering Saint Genevieve's for the first time.

Students entering Pre-K must be 3 and/or 4 years old on or before October 1, 2019.

A 3% discount will be applied towards the fees if full payment is received within the first 30 days of registration.

New registrants must be parishioners for at least 3 months prior to the start of the school year and meet the requirements as parishioner before being considered for “Parishioner Rates.”
Cut-off Dates
Participating Families
Students entering Pre-K must be 3 and/or 4 years old on or before October 1, 2019.

Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before October 1, 2019.


Computer and Media - $75.00 per child (nonrefundable)
Virtual High School (VHS) Learning - $299 + $20 registration fee per child (8th grade only)
Graduation - $150.00 (8th grade only)

To be considered a participating family, a family must be: 
A practicing Catholic registered in a Catholic Parish 6 months prior to the start of the school year; and, regularly using the envelope system.

A Non-Participating Family will be considered a participating family and entitled to reduced tuition when the following criteria has been met:

Using the envelope system for six months and, thereafter, on a regular basis; Be a practicing Catholic; and, registered in a Catholic parish.​

Tuition Plans

Tuition payments are expected to be made on or before the designated date(s). Failure to meet tuition payments without good reason can result in the denial or withdrawal of educational services. Families who do not meet their financial obligation and do not acknowledge late notices may be asked to withdraw from the school. A packet of current fees is available at the school office.
Two Tuition Plans are Available
Yearly Fundraising Fee:
 1. Payment-in-Full: A 3% discount will be applied towards the fees if full payment is received within the first 30 days of registration.

 2. Monthly Payments: First Payment is due June 1st for the following school year. By September, four payments must be made before a child can enter school for the fall term.  A fee of $40 will be accessed monthly for late payments.

​A returned check fee and/or late fee will be assessed for any checks retuned due to insufficient funds.



1. Raise $600.00 through approved  fundraisers during the year. If this obligation is not met through fundraising, the remaining balance is to be contributed by the family of the enrolled student(s) by April 19, 2020.

2. Contribute $400.00 by September 30, 2019.

The Scholarship for Inner-City Children

Financial documentation REQUIRED includes the following:

Scholarship Fund for Inner City Children (SFIC) 

For families with children in grades K-12 attending Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of Newark (Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union Counties). Scholarships are based upon financial need and are awarded without regard to religion, race or ethnicity.

Currently the SFIC General Scholarship Fund awards a $1,000 tuition assistant grant to elementary students entering grades K through 12.  (All Pre-Kindergarten programs are NOT ELIGIBLE).

Scholarship applications for 2019-2020 school year will be available online only starting February 1, 2019 at

2017 Federal 1040 (page 1 & 2 only) - children must be listed as dependents 2017 W-2 Form 
 If Applicable: 

2018 SSI 1099S or benefit budget letter including monthly amount

Unemployment determination letter

Current SNAP Food Stamp and/or Welfare benefit budget letter including monthly amounts

​A $30 non-refundable application fee payable is required (one per family).

Students in grades K-8 currently receiving tuition assistance from The Children's Scholarship Fund (CSF) program are NOT ELIGIBLE to receive a SFIC Scholarship.

All applicants will be notified by email of our decision  on or by the end of June 2018.​

BASC ( Before & After School Program )

St. Genevieve Catholic School offers a Before/After School Care Program (BASC).

Payment is due each week preferably on Monday

 Kindly fill out the  APPLICATION for the BASC program and return it to the school if you would like to enroll your child.

The BASC program is available from 7:10 AM - 8:10 AM and 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM (there is a late fee of $7.00 for every 15 minutes or part of 15 minutes after 6:00 PM.)​​

Fees for the program are on a weekly basis at $7.00 an hour or any part of an hour. (e.g. 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM = 2 hours)

Early Dismissal days hours are 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM.
Early Dismissal days are charged from 12:30 PM. (e.g. 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM = 4 hours)

There will be no After Care on days before certain holidays of which you will be notified. 
Drop ins are welcome, including early dismissal days, and the fee is $7.50 per hour due at time of pick up.

Payment is due each week preferably on Monday. There is a late fee of $20.00 if your payment is 2 weeks past due. There is also a $20.00 fee for checks returned.  

Checks should be made out to St. Genevieve BASC Program. Checks can be paid to the school or directly to the BASC Program Director. 

​IMPORTANT - Children will be released only to the parent unless a written request is received. Please be sure all information on the application is correct.
